Former US guardsman charged with trying to sell guns to Al-Qaeda

Adam Scott Hastings, 25, resigned from the National Guard as the federal government probes him for allegedly trying to sell weapons to Al-Qaeda, a terrorist group, according to a complaint that the U.S. Department of Justice unsealed on Wednesday. Hastings, who had national security clearance, worked as an aircraft powertrain repairer and failed to report travel outside the United States, as required by law, while employed at the National Guard, according to the Justice Department (Read more at JNS).
